WHAT IS THE IPIQ?
In 1976 plumbing inspectors from eight Local Authorities held a meeting with the purpose of forming an Institute for Plumbing Inspectors.
After two years of meetings the Objects and Articles for the proposed Institute were formulated and the Memorandum and Articles were ready for presentation to the Department of Corporate Affairs.
January 4, 1979 saw the Memorandum of Association of the Institute of Plumbing Inspectors Qld Ltd. and the Articles of Association of the Institute of Plumbing Inspectors Qld. Ltd. were stamped and sealed by the Assistant Commissioner for Corporate Affairs.
Membership of the Institute is made up of:
Ordinary Membership: Any person appointed as a Plumbing Inspectors and who are registered with the Plumbing Industry Council.
Associate Membership: Any person who holds Plumbing or associated qualifications and is engaged in a professional field associated with Plumbing.
Retired Membership: Any person who is no longer working full time as a Plumbing Inspector and is registered with the Plumbing Industry Council.
